Restarting lives with EPIC Restart Foundation
This is the story of our Women's Lead and Mentor, Stacey Goodwin, who shares how the EPIC Restart Foundation helped her build a new life after suffering gambling-related harm.
Stacey explains that - once she’d been given life-saving treatment at Gordon Moody and stopped gambling – how her life became focused on simply ‘not gambling’, and how she needed to rediscover her confidence, self-worth, and a purposeful direction. She then joined the EPIC Restart Foundation's Restarting Lives programme, worked with her mentor Steve, and attended our EPIC events, which empower people to take positive steps in their recovery.
Our programme enabled Stacey to move on to a new chapter in her life, in which she has been able to start using her lived experience to help others.
