🎭 Introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS)  🌟

🎤 Madeline Gibson - has specifically trained in IFS and Addictions (IFS Institute Level 2 Training) and her Coaching Diploma focused on helping clients untangle from alcohol over-consumption.

📅 Date: Thursday 6th June
🕕 Time: 6:00 PM
📍 Location: Online Event (zoom)

What we will cover:

🧠 Introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS), including practical exercises so participants can experience the power of this healing framework for themselves: The IFS model involves thinking of the human mind as being made up of 'parts' as well as a core wise and compassionate 'Self'. Parts of us become burdened by fears and beliefs deriving from our life experiences and our environments, which lead us away from living authentically. These parts become stuck in the past and try to hold us back there, being akin to the 'inner child(ren)' we often hear about.

🧠 How our addictive patterns (or anything we do any later wish we hadn't) are parts of us trying to protect us, and how a cycle of self-shaming continues to drive the behaviours further.

🧠 How our Self can compassionately intervene with this subconscious process by recognising the parts of us involved as young parts engaged in an inner battle they think they must continue fighting for our own good, but which on the contrary is ultimately detrimental for our wellbeing.

Who is Madeline Gibson?

Madeline is an IFS Practitioner and Coach. She trained with Richard Schwartz Phd, the creator of the Internal Family Systems Model as well as Andy Ramage, Coach Trainer and Co-Founder of One Year No Beer, alcohol-freedom movement. She has specifically trained in IFS and Addictions (IFS Institute Level 2 Training) and her Coaching Diploma focused on helping clients untangle from alcohol over-consumption. She currently works with clients, mostly online, in groups and individually helping them to build healing relationships with different parts of themselves, such as their inner critics, their addicted parts, or their exiled pain and shame subconsciously driving their patterns.

Madeline passionately believes in and has experienced for herself the power of this healing modality, which she discovered as a means to support her own recovery from alcohol over-consumption and other behaviours she realised were not serving her in life. She endeavours to integrate the practices she shares with her clients and others on a daily basis herself. Madeline is from Manchester UK and currently lives in Lake Como, Italy with her husband and young daughter.
